Sonata has a sustainable character. The mat is made of ECONYL®, regenerated polyamide on a PVC backing, and is also available with a PVC-free backing from Pura Backing™. In this way, Sonata literally and figuratively reduces your footprint.

Sonata’s natural colours are inspired by the subtle shades that characterise rocks. A mixture of matt and glossy yarns bring Sonata – and thus the floor – to life. The contrasting colours on a black base also create depth.

Sonata falls into fire protection class Cfl-s1 for project use. Equipped with Pura Backing™, the PVC-free alternative, Sonata carpet is even easier to install.

Design
Sonata has a detailed, cut pile. The mat combines a coarse, black scraper fibre with a soft, multi-coloured yarn. This gives a terazzo-like, stone effect. The shades of grey reflect urban environment tones, such as granite, asphalt, pebbles, cement and concrete paving. Sonata connects exterior and interior in buildings with open facades.

Pura Backing™ makes walk-off entrance mats more sustainable by avoiding the use of PVC and plasticisers. It’s the response to increasing demand by commercial and residential decorators for environmental sensitivity and sustainability, down to the last details – even when it comes to entrance mats. Mats with Pura Backing™ meet this requirement – with zero PVC and plasticiser content, avoiding stains on porous subfloors. Thanks to increased flexibility, it is even easier to install!

Made from ECONYL^® regenerated nylon

ECONYL^® nylon is made from 100% waste material like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpeting and industrial plastic, which would otherwise pollute the earth. ECONYL^® regenerated nylon is processed into yarns for interior applications. Rinos uses ECONYL^® yarns to create more sustainable products and a better environment. Every square metre of walk-off mat made with ECONYL^® instead of virgin nylon saves more than 5 kg eq CO₂ emissions.
