Rinos, the specialized manufacturer of coir and entrance mats, is per mid-June 2024 the direct supplier of the well-known Aqua 85 walk-off mat. This scraper walk-off mat was previously supplied by 3M as Nomad Aqua 85 (NA85). The mat is well-known as the best performing mat when it comes to dirt absorption.

Rinos exhibits at the Flanders Flooring Days
The Flanders Flooring Days will take place at the Xpo in Kortrijk from 13 to 16 May. This year there is a central exhibition floor, the “Hub”, from which showrooms of local flooring manufacturers in the region can be visited. Rinos is present as an exhibitor in the central Hub at stand 114.

Coir mats now 85% circular
We are happy to inform that we have been able to take another step on the Rinos Sustainability Path. Our objective, among other things, is to use as many recycled or renewable raw materials as possible. We measure this with the circularity index: the share of recycled and renewable raw materials in relation to the total raw materials. For several months now we have been using recycled calcium carbonate (chalk) as a filler in the backing of our mats.

Wet autumn? Not with HydroTX!
The start of autumn means more rain – and therefore more moisture on entrance floors. Because an entrance mat often has to dry shoe soles within a few steps, facility managers can be left with wet footprints in the entrance area behind the mat. This problem has been solved with Rinos HydroTX™ technology. Entrance mats with HydroTX™ absorb up to three times more moisture during the first few steps. New: improved product information on coir rolls
All coir mats are made from coir fibre, but not all coir mats are equal. Nevertheless, it is difficult in practice to see the differences in quality. To make this distinction easier, we are implementing a running change in the production of coir rolls as of 1 November 2021. From this date onwards, we will be printing information on the back of Promotap, Rinotap and Duratap mats.
