How long does an entrance mat last? That depends on the quality, configuration (L*W), and the amount of traffic. Rinos monitors the performance of entrance mats not only in a laboratory but also in practice.
In 2018, we installed a class 33 polyamide entrance mat for heavy commercial use in a school with 1400 students, who pass over this mat at least twice per school day. After 5,5 years that means more than 2 million transits!
The overall impression of the entrance mat is still acceptable, yet on the right lower corner (the shortest way to the exit for the students) the yarn now starts to wear out. 2 Million transits: not bad for a textile entrance mat!
