From rush to coir mat

It all started with the coir mat

At the beginning of the 20th century, production of mats in Genemuiden, the cradle of the Dutch carpet industry, took off. Rush mat weaving, a cottage industry, gave way to machine-woven coir matting. Rinos was founded in 1925. A century later, as virtually the only remaining producer of coir mats in Europe, the family business still supplies this timeless, classic doormat.
